Ingredients:
- 1 cup imitation crab meat flakes
- 8 oz fettuccine (or any pasta of your choice)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)
Instructions:
Cook the Pasta: Boil a pot of salted water and cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside, saving 1/4 cup of pasta water.
Prepare the Sauce: In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
Add the Cream: Slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes, then add the grated Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens.
Season the Sauce: Stir in the crushed red pepper flakes (if using), black pepper, and a pinch of salt. If the sauce is too thick, add the reserved pasta water a little at a time to thin it to your desired consistency.
Add the Crab Meat: Gently fold the imitation crab flakes into the Alfredo sauce, cooking for another 2-3 minutes to warm the crab.
Combine with Pasta: Add the cooked pasta to the pan and toss everything together until the pasta is evenly coated with the sauce.
Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan if desired. Serve immediately.
